Recently, I discovered a new type of ice cream. Ice Cream is the desert of choice in Korea. It’s also one of my favorite sweet treats!
Gourmet Mochi Ice Cream Bonbons are ice cream balls wrapped in rice dough. They originated in Japan and there are two flavors here in our commissary: vanilla and green tea. I instantly loved the vanilla and instantly hated the green tea.
One bonbon is a little bigger than a golf ball. The outside is soft and chewy and the inside is simply ice cream deliciousness. These are great if you’re trying not to over indulge on ice cream; one piece is only 100 calories.
I like to take mine out of the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes because they are cold (obviously) when you first take them out.
